What’s been happening:

Marguerite Celani, 75, a retired art educator, is an accomplished artist. Earning her B.S. from Indiana State University of Pa. and a M.A. at Penn State University, she continued to be a student of art and had studied independently under well known artists and teachers at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, Fleischer�s Art School, and Perkins Art Center in Moorestown. She has exhibited throughout Burlington County and the Philadelphia area in invitational, individual, group and juried art shows and has won many awards, including "Best in Show." She is skilled in critiquing artistic works and is highly respected for her abilities in appreciating quality art. Marguerite had been a teacher of art in the public schools for 30 years, taught adult education classes, as well as operated her own private art studio. She was past president of the Willingboro Art Alliance, past president of Willingboro�s AAUW and held state AAUW positions in Cultural Affairs and Communications. She was a co-founder of the Gifted Child Association of Willingboro and served on the original continuing education advisory board. Marguerite was nominated for Woman of the Year in 1973 while residing in Willingboro, NJ and was awarded Burlington County�s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993 for having achieved professionally and personally in spite of her lifelong physical handicap as a result of being afflicted by polio and osteomylitis in her youth. Marguerite lives in Moorestown, NJ with her husband, John. She is the mother of one son, Jonathan, 46, who resides in New Hampshire with his wife, Sharon, and their three children, Alexandra (18), Erik (16), and Kristen (13).
